This policy explains what information Itty Bitty Nifty Gifties collects when you visit ittybittyniftygifties.com, how I use it, and the choices you have. “I” and “we” refer to Itty Bitty Nifty Gifties, a trade name of Gibsonmade LLC.

What I collect

When you place an order, I collect the information needed to process and ship it: your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and the contents of your order. Payment details (card numbers, bank info) are handled directly by Square or PayPal; I never see or store your full payment information.

When you sign up for the mailing list, I collect your name and email through Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link at the bottom of the email.

When you leave a product review, I collect the name or display name you submit, your email, and the contents of your review. Reviews are public; the email address is not.

When you contact me through a form on the site, I collect whatever you submit, plus a timestamp and the IP address that sent it (used to filter spam).

Automatically, when you visit the site, my hosting provider and analytics tools collect your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This is standard log and analytics data; I use it to understand how the site is performing.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies for the following:

  • Shopping cart and checkout; required so your cart works.
  • Login; if you create an account, a cookie keeps you signed in.
  • Google Analytics (via Site Kit and Google Tag Manager); measures traffic and engagement. Google may set cookies in your browser; their policies are at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google reCAPTCHA; protects forms from spam and bots. Google receives information about your visit to verify you’re a real person.
  • Embedded content; pages that embed Facebook or Instagram feeds may load cookies from those services. Their policies govern that data.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site (like checkout) may not work.

Who I share information with

I do not sell your personal information. I share it only with the services I need to run the shop:

  • Square and PayPal, to process payments.
  • USPS and other shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
  • Mailchimp, to send newsletters you’ve opted into.
  • Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, reCAPTCHA), for site analytics and spam protection.
  • GreenGeeks, my hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
  • Law enforcement, only if I’m legally required to.

How long I keep information

  • Order data is retained for as long as I’m legally required to keep tax and sales records (typically seven years).
  • Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Review data stays on the site until you ask me to remove it.
  • Form submissions are kept until I no longer need them to respond to your message.
  • Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (currently fourteen months).

Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • Send you a copy of the personal information I have about you.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Delete your data, except where I’m legally required to retain it (such as completed order records).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I’ll change the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage or by email if you’re on the mailing list.
